About The Rock Church
The Rock Church was founded on the belief that God has the power to transform every life. Located in Smithville, MO, our church is dedicated to preaching the truth, worshiping passionately, and creating a place where people can find purpose and belonging.
Established in June 2023, our church began as a response to God's call to reach the Smithville area. Pastor Aaron Ferrell and his family followed the leading of the Lord to plant a church where faith, family, and community come together.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Aaron Ferrell felt the call to preach at 14 years old, sparking a lifelong passion for ministry. Over the years, he has faithfully served in various leadership roles, including Sunday School Director, Outreach Director, and Youth Pastor.
Approximately 6-7 years ago, God began stirring his heart for the Smithville, MO area. After much prayer, Pastor Ferrell and his family stepped out in faith and planted The Rock Church in June 2023. His vision is simple yet powerful: to create a church where lives are transformed through Christ and people find their God-given purpose.

Our Beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is divinely inspired and God-breathed (pneuma). It is true in all that it teaches. As the infallible Word of God, it is our primary authority for what we believe, teach, and how we live our lives. (2 Tim 3:15-17)
The Oneness of God
We strictly adhere to the Scriptural teaching of the Oneness of God:
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” (Deut. 6:4)
The New Testament confirms this truth:
“One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”(Eph. 4:5–6; Col. 2:9)
Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and is in need of salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Psa. 51:5; Rom. 3:23-25; 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9)
The Gospel
The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. We obey the Gospel by:
- Repenting of our sins (death to sin)
- Being baptized in Jesus’ name (burial)
- Receiving the Holy Ghost (resurrection)
This pattern of conversion was consistent in the early church. (1 Cor. 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Rom. 6:3-4)
Christian Living
As followers of Christ, we are called to love God and others. We worship God joyfully and live a life that honors Him—both inwardly and outwardly. We believe in the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, available to all Spirit-filled believers. (Mark 12:28-31; 1 Cor. 6:19, 12:8-10; Gal. 5:19-26)
Healing
We believe in divine healing, as promised in Scripture:
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.” (James 5:15)
Healing is available today through prayer, faith, and anointing with oil. (Isaiah 53:5; Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-16)
Heaven and Hell
Heaven is a literal place reserved for those who obey the Gospel and live a holy life. (Matt. 5:3, John 14:1–3)
Hell is a place of eternal separation from God, described as “everlasting fire” and “torment.” (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:12-15)
The Future
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church. The righteous will inherit eternal life, while the unrighteous will face eternal separation from God. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thes. 4:16-17)
